Early Life & Education
King Promise was born on August 16, 1995, to businessman Francis Newman (father) and Angela Quaye (mother) in Greater Accra Region, Ghana. She has a sister whose name hasn’t been made known to the media.
He attended St. Anthony Academy in Accra, Ghana, for his elementary and a part of his secondary education. He was then transferred to the Nungua Senior High School, where he graduated with a diploma from senior high school.
King Promise continued his education at the Central University of Ghana, receiving a degree in information studies and economics in 2016. Despite being academically successful, he has now focused on music.
The multi-talented songwriter and musical prodigy King Promise‘s debut single, Thank God, which featured Fuse ODG and was produced by KillBeatz, was released in 2016.
He has a recording contract with KillBeatz‘s Legacy Life Entertainment (LLE) label. The label is presently managed by Gervin Ohene Addo.

King Promise was nominated for awards and won them thanks to his first hit record. His win for “Hiplife Song Of The Year” at the 2019 3Music Awards is among other important honors.
At the Ghana Music Awards UK, he was also named Best Male Vocalist. He received nominations for Artiste of the Year and Highlife Song of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in 2018.
For his song “Thank God,” he also received the Best Discovery Music Award at the 4 Syte TV Music Video Awards.
Talking about his relationship life, in an interview, King Promise states that he has never had a girlfriend and that he prefers staying indoors than going on dates.
