Michael Fred Phelps II (born June 3, 1985) is an American former competitive swimmer and the most decorated Olympian of all time. He is regarded as the most successful swimmer in the sport’s history.
He also has the all-time record of 23 Olympic gold medals and has won the World Swimmer of the Year Award eight times.

The award-winning swimmer Michael Phelps was born to Michael Fred Phelps Sr. (father) and Deborah Sue Phelps (mother) on the 3rd of June 1985. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and was named after his father.
