Morgan Stickney is an American Paralympic Swimmer. She will make her debut in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic. She will be competing in Women’s 400m freestyle and 50m freestyle.

Morgan is originally from North Carolina. She grabbed her college degree in Biology from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS).

Morgan always dreamt of competing in the Olympic games. She had been competing as an able-bodied swimmer till 2013 when she broke her left foot bones.

She had broken the sesamoid bones of her left big toe which led to a Staph infection and ultimately, her left leg was amputated in 2016.

Despite her struggle with an infection, she was able to score a scholarship with her swimming at Biola University where she studied Pre-medicine.

Without giving up her dream to play at the International championship she shifted her journey towards the Paralympic games.

She competes in S10, SB9, SM10 classifications.

Now she is a member of the USA Para National Team and is personally coached by Nathan Manley.

In 2018, she competed at Para National Championship in 400m and 100m freestyle. She was able to win the gold medal.

In 2019, she again had her right leg amputated due to a rare condition called Vascular disorder.

But two years later she was back to compere on 2020 Tokyo Paralympic and won the gold medal at that.

Morgan Stickney is of the age 24 years old now. She was born on 16th June of 1997 in Cary of North Carolina.

She was born a normal child and started swimming since she was 10 years old.

While she was just 15 years old, she was able to land the position in the top 20 best swimmers in the US for 1500 meters.

Morgan acquired her disability at the age of 19 which inspired her to become a Paralympian swimmer.

At the age of 22, she had lost both of her legs and had to undergo bilateral Ewing amputation research.

She had to relearn how to walk and how to swim all over again.

Tony Stickney and Sher Stickney are the parents of Morgan Stickney. She also has a brother named Ben Stickney in her family.

Morgan claims that her family and her parents have been the greatest inspiration in her life to go through struggles.

They supported and respected Morgan’s decision to become part of the research. She was the world’s first to receive two Ewing amputations.

Her parents were there in her darkest hour and have been her inspiration since her childhood. She credits her parents and Family, including her new friends from Spaulding and the Paralympic community for her support.

Morgan Stickney Net Worth is still under review and has not been revealed yet.

However, as per the Athlete Partnership Agreement, swimmers in the US are to receive at least $40,000 per year.

But we believe she will be earning more if she is able to secure a gold medal on her Paralympic debut.
