She originally got international recognition when Konami, a Japanese video game producer, announced that she would supply motion capture, voice, and likeness for the character Quiet in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in 2015.

Stefanie Joosten was born in the Dutch city of Roermond, in the province of Limburg. She was born in the Netherlands on the 5th of August, 1988.
She studied at Roermond’s Bisschoppelijk College, Broekhin, taking a bilingual (Dutch and English) course.
Stefanie Joosten decided to study the Japanese language and culture at Leiden University after growing up infatuated with otaku culture. She spent a year as part of an exchange program in Kyoto in 2009.
