Jordan Catchpole is a renowned para-athlete, precisely a swimmer. Recently, he is in the spotlight for winning gold at Tokyo Paralympics and setting a new world record at mixed 400m freestyle relay S14.
Catchpole began to learn swimming at the tender age of four. He practiced hard for years and perfectioned his skillsets. At age 14, he was diagnosed with autism.
However, the disability did not hold him back. He started participating in the Para-swimming competition in 2015. In 2017, he was awarded the Men’s Junior title in the World Para Swimming World Series.
Also, Jordan secured a bronze medal in 200m freestyle and 100m backstrokes at the British Para-Swimming International Meet.
